The Local Investment Commission (LINC) is a nationally recognized organization known for its efforts to improve the lives of children and families in Kansas City through its Caring Communities initiative.
What we do there:
Caring Communities is an effort to create in neighborhoods a place where the community regularly gathers, in this case using neighborhood elementary schools as a central location. Our Caring Communities sites reflect a growing national interest in creating “community schools.”
