AYS serves underprivileged youth in crisis through five programs. Many of these youth have not been taught basic and necessary skills. Instructors contribute to the education of youth by providing useful, practical information of any kind that the volunteer chooses as their specialty. Usually they are basic and useful, and derrived from the volunteer's profession or life experience, say car maintenance or cooking. Exact dates and times are flexible and dependant on which program an instructor has interest in. This is a one time commitment with potential for continuation.
